Seven well-known authors of historical works join together for this collection of log cabin Christmas tales.  Jane's story is called "The Courting Quilt" a light-hearted story of one man's trouble with quilters and one widow's hope to hang on to her log cabin store in Brownsville, Oregon State in the 1860s.  How the two "mend" their ways is Jane's first novella but not her last.
